Additional Storage & Non-Match Furniture

here's a short update...

STAR WARS BOXES:

so just last August 29, 2014..
i came up with an additional compartment for my starbox..
it's actually an Ewoks compartment unit which i designed to store some of my Ewoks action figures when the need arises in the future...

it measures around 1.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 inches...

i noticed that my starbox still has a lot of space inside it, so i decided to utilize that 'wasted' space..
the above image shows that vacant space on the upper left area of the box...

and here's how it looks like when i attach that Ewoks compartment unit..
it has a very simple mechanism which hangs itself on the edge(s) of the box - just a few millimeters above the heads of the other 'taller' action figures which i store there..
and that should help me in conserving storage space...

NON-MATCH FURNITURE:

aquarium-like plastic glass ornament..
this one i think, used to be a container of some mini-cupcakes..
i think i can use it as an aquarium..
or maybe as a glass panel...

The Long Box

well, still no update here regarding my collection..
besides, i haven't sold anything from my ebay store yet.. (poor me) T,T
so i don't have extra money to buy miscellaneous units...

anyway..
here's a new box that i made last March 21 (if i'm not mistaken)..
i decided to throw out some old college books from my cabinet, to make some space for more Star Wars action figures...

i call it a long box, coz it's quite long..>,<
just like my other custom and handmade boxes, this is made out of illustration board material..
the black (or colored) side of the illustration board has a tendency of losing its color and staining anything that gets near it and of course we wouldn't want it to ruin the color of our beloved toy collection (especially the troopers' white armor >,<), so to avoid that i always cover the interior (the base, the sides, and even the top) of the box with plain, white typewriting paper..
this has a dimension of 7 x 11 x 5(height) inches..
and it can hold up to more than 50 Star Wars 3 & 3/4 inch action figures of the average size..
but this box is not yet complete..
i still need to look for a Star Wars logo (preferably one from the blue or red Legacy Collection), a Hasbro logo, and maybe a bar code, so it can look like my very first starbox...

boxes are quite useful for me..
because i'm not the type of collector who would just let the action figure rest inside their packaging for eternity and accumulate monetary value..
every time i buy a new unit, i'm always excited to take it out from its packaging..
i wipe or brush them (coz sometimes even if they are sealed they still accumulate some dirt), i check for paint job error(s) (which i think is just normal for mass-produced toys), and i also check if their points of articulation are working fine or are in perfect fit (which can sometimes lead to a disaster, in my case, i broke the hands of 2 of my AT-RT Drivers in the process of inspecting them, i managed to glue them back but i'll never turn those hands again coz i'm afraid that i might break them again)..
after the inspection and after each pictorial, that is when i need my boxes, so i can re-store my units to protect them from dirt and from fading until the time when they finally have a decent gallery...

Store Update 01

it has been almost 3 months now since i got my license to sell items on ebay..
but i haven't sold anything yet as of this moment...T,T

this is my latest box - the Hasbro Toys box..
as you can see, i made some improvement to it (if you can call it that way)..
two sides of this box was damaged when i received it (not from Hasbro, but from a local toy shop)..
so i covered the damaged area with some typewriting paper..
then i cut out different Star Wars logos from some vintage collection items which i opened..
and there it goes..

it is where i keep all my items that are meant for sale..
currently i have 6 items on my ebay list..
a loose item, some MOC, and some Copic Multiliner pens...

i even made a YouTube video to promote it:

Copic multiliner pens & some Star Wars action figures from the Vintage Collection (2012) plus a loose figure from the Saga Collection are for sale..
these are for sale ONLY within the Philippines..
coz i still don't know how to deal with the Customs...

just read the description on YouTube and Ebay for more details...

October & November 2012 Update - Army Builder

so yesterday my second batch of orders from the local ebay finally arrived..
like i said in my previous text update, it was handled by Air21..
now i know that they don't deliver on a day-to-day basis, but operates according to a certain schedule..
actually the second batch is still composed of two different packages from a single seller and were sent on two consecutive days, but due to the scheduled delivery of the courier both packages were delivered to me at the same time..
the good thing is that they may not be very quick in terms of delivery, but they are organized..
in addition, the text update from their company is once again available...

now here's the actual update for my collection..
the first batch:

JEDI ORDER:

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi General version)..
this is the Jedi Master during the time of the Clone Wars..
click here for a related entry...

this version goes with a full Clone Trooper Phase I armor mixed with some Jedi cape/clothing and equipment that makes him look like a medieval knight...

IMPERIAL TROOPERS:

ARC Trooper Commander (Red variant)..

actually the color coded ranking of ARC Troopers as well as other military forces is as follows: yellow for commander, red for captain, blue for lieutenant, and green sergeant..
so i'm still confused why this one is denoted as a commander...

Clone Trooper (Heavy Gunner) (Clone Trooper Squad version)..
they are armed with reciprocating quad blaster also called by names such as cip quad and heavy quad cannon...

i only realized recently that their armor is almost similar to the basic AT-RT Driver's armor..
you can view some AT-RT Driver design here..
the major differences are: the helmet's antenna or optical instrument (in it's case) being on the right side instead of the left, the paint pattern, the backpack, and the belt and kama...

Clone Scuba Trooper (Clone Trooper Squad Version)..
this form of imperial trooper is deployed in aquatic environments or planets, the most common being the planet of Dac or Mon Calamari...

and the second batch:

GUNGAN:

Gungan Warrior..
this version of Gungan warrior goes with a cesta (the long staff-like weapon) and a farseein which serves like a huge binocular for them...

IMPERIAL TROOPER:

Shock Trooper (Movie Heroes version)..
also known as Coruscant Guards, they serve as the private army and bodyguards of Emperor Palpatine..
they serve the emperor under the leadership of Commander Thire...

this one has a quick-draw feature for the right arm, which is done by pressing the right leg or specifically the thigh inward..
this is also my very first imperial trooper that goes with a black DC-15 blaster rifle with a shoulder stock painted with brown...

DROID ARMY:

Destroyer Droid..
also known as Droideka which is a compound word composed of the basic term 'droid' and the Colicoid suffix 'eka' meaning 'hireling' or 'drone'..
considered the strongest among the basic droid infantry units, they are armed with powerful weapons and are also capable of deploying force-like, semi-transparent shields..
in addition, they can also round themselves up like a wheel for faster movement...

this type has a firing-projectile feature for both arms, which is done by pressing the rear end of the missile-like red projectiles downward...

and after these recent transactions, i was able to reduce my Estimated Rate per unit from 460.45 to 452.80 Php..
plus i also got a new storage box which is the Clone Trooper Squad (Legacy Collection) packaging..
Great Deal...^_^

Star Wars Miscellaneous

PHOTOSHOOT STAGE:
if you have noticed, i make use of Star Wars related backgrounds when i take pictures of my action figures..
if i'm not mistaken, i've already used 5 different backgrounds:
- the very first is a tin can from the 30th Anniversary
- then, Order 66 packaging with figures inside
- next is my custom made box
- and 4th is just a variation with the custom made box and a comic pack cardboard from the Legacy Collection as base
- the latest is another variation of the 3rd, i just added my strategy table and turned it into a window like background, and i also added 2 other comic pack cardboards to the sides (see image below)

photoshoot stage as of 2011...

WOMEN OF STAR WARS 2012:
since i like girls a lot..
i also collect gorgeous lady action figures..^_^

this is during the early half of 2012...

LIGHTSABER COLLECTION:
another thing that i like about the Star Wars universe are these colorful but deadly lightsabers..
no need to sharpen them..

this is also during the early half of 2012...

STAR WARS BOXES:
since i'm not a 'boxed-collector' and i'm trying to work on a diorama, i'll need to re-store my collections so they won't be exposed to anything destructive in nature..
after buying them, i immediately open and inspect them for dirt and discoloration brought by time, and also to check if their articulations are still fine and functional (unfortunately i have already broke two action figures' hands T,T)..

starbox..
this is my very first custom made box..
this is the one that i use during photoshoots..
i put cut-outs from actual packagings to make it look legit..
an Order 66 packaging can fit inside this box...

accessory box..
this is where i store my action figures' accessories and weaponries...

ghostbusters box..
this is the latest custom made box that i came up with..
i modified the original box and reduced it's size so it can fit inside my Jabba's Throne' box..
this is meant for additional and bigger accessories and weaponries...

van houten box..
this is a gift for me supposedly for Valentine..
this is where i put paper, cardboard, or plastic cut-outs that can be useful for my diorama project...

aside from custom made boxes, i also make use of some original Star Wars packaging materials to temporarily store my beloved collection:
- Commemorative Tin Collection: Episode IV - A New Hope (30th Anniversary)
- Order 66: Master Sev & ARC Trooper (30th Anniversary)
- Order 66: Emperor Palpatine & Commander Thire (30th Anniversary)
- Aayla Secura's Jedi Starfighter (30th Anniversary)
- Republic Commando Delta Squad (The Saga Collection)
- Jabba's Throne (The Vintage Collection)

---o0o---

NEWS - yesterday i received my Vintage Collection Aayla Secura and i'm very satisfied with her latest sculpt..
due to the bad weather condition in our country it had to be delivered through LBC, though i constantly reminded the seller not to do so because of my pending case with them..
well, the good thing is that they are able to deliver my good this time...
